Enable [cc] for subtitles. In 1967, Jane's husband Michael Grossman and Robert Katz created systems of non-linear calculi, called non-Newtonian calculi (NNC). Pure mathematicians treated it with disdain. Decades later, geometric calculus was applied to improve imaging speed and accuracy, and the bigeometric calculus was used in fractal analysis. Since then, NNC continues to gain momentum. Scientists and engineers are applying NNC to create new ideas, and improve old ones. That is the reason Jane asked Mike to talk about NNC so that more people will learn about it and perhaps put it to good use.
